The Content Brewery

When you’re running a small business, it’s easy to feel like you’re a content creation machine. It’s an endless stream of emails and blog posts (and let’s not even talk about your website copy, which is seriously overdue for an update).

It’s too easy to end up on the content creation hamster wheel churning out content that doesn’t really do what it needs to do for our business. Or we find content creation falls to the bottom of our list and next thing you know you’ve not blogged since, well, let’s not even go there.

Content isn’t about sharing your words or ideas. Content is the engine for your marketing.

Which is why you need to brew up the right content for your audience and deliver it to them in a way they can’t resist.

The Content Brewery is designed to help you cut the content overwhelm and get cracking with content that helps you meet business goals.

Think of it this way: if you were brewing beer, would you want to:

Option A: Serve finely crafted microbrew that attracts discerning consumers who don’t hesitate to spend money and become super fans?

Option B: Be the mass market, low quality beer on the market that people buy because it’s the cheapest option and really have no brand loyalty to?

Option A all the way, right?

The Content Brewery will help you craft an intelligent plan for your content and includes:

Brewery Tour: Content & Website Audit

I’ll tour your content and website to conduct a strategic review. Based on what I discover, I’ll provide recommendations on how you can leverage your existing content to it’s fullest potential, identify any holes in your content and outline what changes you can make to improve visitor experience on your website.

Batch of Blog Posts: Themes, Topics and SEO Handled

Based on your customer profile, business goals and audit, I’ll create a master plan for your blog for the next six months, including a topic for every week, editorial themes and more. I’ll also make search engine optimization recommendations for your blog to help you generate organic traffic to your site.

The Brewpub: Email Marketing Master Plan

When you run an online business, you want to create a relationship that your list is a place people want to hangout (like a favorite brewpub). But growing a list is harder than it looks, which is why you need an enticing opt-in offer and a plan for keeping your tribe happy and engaged.

Working together, I’ll come up with three concepts for a new opt-in offer for your business (or suggest specific changes to the one you have), and then map out follow-up emails so you can  create the know-like-trust factor with your subscribers.

Your Small Army: Testimonials

My fave local brewery calls their fans the Beau’s Army. What’s your equivalent? Who’s in your army? As part of the Content Brewery, you’ll get access to my DIY testimonial and customer proof program called The Client Brewery as part of your experience. This will give you scripts for asking for testimonials, case studies, referrals and more. ($99 Value)

I have way too many ideas, all at once, and sometimes get stuck on which one to choose or write about. Maggie took all my jumbled thoughts and ideas, and created one streamlined, consistent strategy for me to grow my business around. Her customized content calendar is invaluable, and I fully intend to hire her to create another 3 months for me when this one runs out. I’ve gotten more positive feedback on my content in the last month than I did in the last 3 months combined. You can’t afford NOT to have Maggie on your team.

I’d put off starting my blog and newsletter for far too long because I didn’t know what to write about. Well, more accurately I didn’t know what made sense to write about for the direction I wanted to take my business. With her “hey—let’s make this happen!” approach, Maggie helped me narrow down all my content ideas into 3 solid categories and even prioritize my huge post idea list from there. I left our session with a list of working blog post titles (rich with keywords my target clients are actually searching for!) and a practical plan for my business communications that I’m still using today. And yes, I finally did start that blog and newsletter! I can’t recommend working with Maggie enough. She’s encouraging, experienced, honest and very clear in the advice she gives….and that’s some powerful stuff!
